Together, you have donated 115kg of food and 8kg of non-food items to Black Country Food Bank - enough to provide 230 meals and 8 toiletry packs for people in need. Your kindness and compassion are truly making a difference in our local community.
We hope everyone has had a lovely half term break! Just a reminder that school will be closed tomorrow (Monday) for our INSET Day. We look forward to welcoming all children back, refreshed and ready to learn, on Tuesday.
History Comes Alive in Year 6! Last week, children in 6 Morpurgo had a fascinating opportunity to step back in time as part of their World War Two history unit. They explored original school log books dating all the way back to 2nd July 1900, when Temple Meadow Primary School first opened as Wrights Lane Infant School. These log books offered a powerful glimpse into the past, revealing how children at our school experienced life during the outbreak of World War Two - including taking part in air raid drills right from their classrooms. It was a unique chance for children to engage with primary sources of evidence, helping them understand history through the eyes of those who lived it. We're proud of how thoughtfully and enthusiastically the children approached this learning experience - it truly brought history to life!
Last half-term, our Reception children were deeply engaged in autumnal-themed activities, which are proving to be a wonderful foundation for key skills. These activities were specifically designed to develop their mathematical vocabulary and enhance their fine motor skills.
What a fantastic way to end the half term! This morning's celebration assembly was the perfect finale, where we recognised our Belong Value Champions What a fantastic way to end the half-term!t means to create an inclusive and supportive environment. We're so proud of them - they'll now be wearing their Belong Badges with pride!
Come and discover why Temple Meadow is the perfect place for your child by joining us at our Reception Open Event.
