Dear Families,
What a busy but truly lovely final week of this half-term it has been at Temple Meadow. The week began on Monday with an important visit from West Midlands Fire Service, who delivered their SPARKS assembly to Year 4. The children engaged brilliantly with the key messages around fire, car and water safety and we were incredibly proud of the thoughtful questions they asked.

On Wednesday, our Year 3 children took to the stage to perform their wonderful production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Both the school and families who joined us were treated to a fantastic performance. The children’s confidence, expression and enthusiasm really shone through – a credit to all their hard work this term.

Thursday brought music to the forefront as our KS2 children participated in our Harmony Music Event. It was a joy to see so many children sharing their musical talents and celebrating the importance of performing together.

Today, we rounded off the week with two very special celebrations. Our 4 Cowell children performed their pBone showcase, demonstrating the musical skills they have developed over the term – a wonderful moment for everyone watching.

Across school today, we also celebrated International Mother Language Day, recognising and valuing the rich cultural and linguistic diversity within our community. The children enjoyed sharing their heritage, languages and traditions with great pride.

It was lovely to see Murphy the dog in school from Huggle Pets on Tuesday, delivering an assembly as part of children's mental health week.

Our celebration assembly this morning was a wonderful occasion where we recognised our Thrive Value Champions. These children have consistently demonstrated our Thrive values through their positive attitudes, kindness, and commitment to their learning. They will now be wearing their Thrive Badge with pride!

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. I hope you all enjoy a restful half‑term break.
A reminder that school returns on Monday 23rd February 2026. Please do be on time as very first thing that morning will be our first play assembly linked to our OPAL journey.
