At Temple Meadow, we use Talk for Writing in our Early Years provision because it places language, communication and storytelling at the heart of learning. We recognise that many of our children benefit from additional support to develop their oracy, speech, vocabulary and confidence in communicating with others.

Through the use of repeated storytelling, actions, discussion and rich language experiences, Talk for Writing helps our children to develop strong speaking and listening skills, broaden their vocabulary and build the foundations needed for successful reading and writing. This approach enables children to become confident communicators who can express their ideas, retell stories and engage fully in their learning.
