My name is Simon Cains and I am excited to join your school as a governor. I have worked in education for over 20 years and have served as Deputy Head at a local primary school for over 15 years. I have served as a governor at my current school since assuming the Deputy Head position, which has provided me with valuable experience in governance and strategic oversight.

My strengths like in curriculum, teaching and learning, staff development and analysing academic and attendance data to identify trends and inform forward planning. This analytical approach enables me to make evidence-based decisions that drive improvement and raise standards.

My experience has equipped me with strong skills in strategic thinking and policy oversight alongside the ability to challenge constructively while supporting collective decisions.
