My name is Vicky Whittaker and I work at Ormiston Forge Academy as a Senior Leader for Teaching and Learning. I qualified as a teacher in 2006 and have taught at Forge for 19 years. During that time I've had an array of different roles ranging from subject leader of History, Social Sciences and more recently, Classical Civilisations, to supporting EAL and HAT students as-well as providing pastoral support to post 16 students. Giving students the opportunity to be successful and realise their fullest potential is something I am passionate about and I firmly believe no school, or lesson, should be an educational lottery. All students deserve the very best start in life and our duty is to ensure we do everything we can to try and provide that. 

Last year, I became a staff-governor at Forge and this year, I am delighted to undertake the role of governor at Temple Meadow. It will give me the chance to understand far more about the primary sector and therefore, support transition to secondary more successfully.  I look forward to learning more about this fabulous primary school and supporting in any way that I can.
