|14:30||Independent Activity (no live lesson)|
Temple Meadow's Year 5 Provision is open to vulnerable and keyworker children only.
For Year 5 children not attending school, tasks and teaching videos, that mirror in school teaching, are completed on Microsoft Teams. Teachers will teach their lessons live which gives children the opportunity to ask any questions about the work that they have been sent. Once the live lesson has concluded, children are expected to complete work, which is set as an assignment on Microsoft Teams.
Teachers will give immediate feedback to pupils when they can see pupils working on their document live. Pupils will be invited back into the call if teachers see any misconceptions.
When assignments have been handed in, teachers will return the assignments to pupils with feedback attached.
We recommend that your child completes their home learning in a quiet, comfortable space with access to a pen and paper. Pupils should also have access to a drink and should take screen breaks during break and lunchtimes.
A reminder that your child's camera should be off at all times and microphones should be muted unless your child is speaking to their class teacher. Pupils can use the hands up feature to gain the attention of the class teacher and the chat feature should be used to ask work-based questions only.
You can see our Microsoft Teams help page here.
Sadly, most Temple Meadow children are currently not able to access the school library. Therefore we would like to share with you a virtual library link, that allows children to learn about the author of the week and provides access to free audiobooks. Each week, children will be learning about the author and will then be set reading tasks from their class teacher. In our school library, we have a spotlight author display. Each class teacher will select a piece of wow work to showcase on here each week.
You can view the virtual library here.
