Every child has been issued with a home reading book. We ask, if possible, that your child reads at home every day. This could be to an adult, sibling, pet or themselves. Please sign your child's reading record book when they have read at home. Books will be changed every week.
This term, P.E. lessons will be taught on a Wednesday. Please ensure your child has an appropriate P.E. kit in school for their P.E. lesson.
Reminder - plasters can not be worn over earrings. All jewellery must be removed for P.E. lessons.

Our Autumn term topic in Year 4 is all about China. English will be driven by our key text which is 'Spilled Water' by Sally Grindley.
Keep checking back for updates.
For the Autumn term, we will be developing our understanding of Place Value and the four rules of number: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. We will also be exploring length and perimeter.
For Science in the Autumn term, we will be studying animals including humans. This will involve looking at the human digestive system, human teeth and animal food chains.
For Geography, we will be studying UK geography. We will look at the county thta we live in, the counties that border the West Midlands, the counties that make-up the UK and how they differ.
For art, we will be looking at a range of Chinese artist before creating a Chinese Zodiac animal using collage skills.
Typically for Year 4, our music lessons are taught by Mr Beer who teaches P Bone. However, due to COVID final arrangements for this are to be confirmed.
