Year 2

Tasks to support home learning

It is important that momentum of learning is sustained while school is closed as we are still working towards the end of year expectations. We will update this page regularly with Year 2 activities

Thursday 9th July

Hello superstar children. How are you on this showery day? Hope we have a nice day tomorrow to finish the week off (fingers crossed).

Keep being amazing! :)

Reading Challenge

Here are your Reading Challenges for this week.

Monday: Reading on a cushion

Tuesday: Reading an audio book

Wednesday: Reading a book on Wheelers

Thursday: Reading a book on a door mat

Friday: Reading a book in the car

Access to books

Don't forget you have all got your log-ins for Wheelers where you will find lots of books you can read on your laptop, tablet or phone. Your log on can be found on the front of your orange Reading Record or in the envelope which was even given to you before school closed or posted out to you.

Follow the link to find the Temple Meadow log in page.

We have attached a reading bookmark with questions that you may want to ask your child to help them with their understanding of the audio book story.

There is also a reading prompt sheet too with some good question examples.

These questions can be used with any book the children may have at home and are reading also!

There is also another resource with activities you can do, called 'Help your child with Reading.'
