May be an image of childThis week, we held our remaining winter workshops, including our Early Years Stay and Play events. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, we’ve received some lovely feedback and we’ve captured a few highlights below. You can see some images from all of our events on our Facebook page.

On Tuesday, Year 5 visited the Space Centre, and staff were full of praise for how well the children engaged and represented our school. Well done to all involved!

We also want to thank everyone who came along to our movie nights. All money raised will go directly into our OPAL project, supporting this initiative and benefiting all children.

Today, we held our final assembly of the term, celebrating our school value ‘Nurture’. We are so proud of the children who were acknowledged for this award. We also celebrated our Curriculum Champions and Attendance winners - congratulations to all!

The festive spirit was in full swing today as children joined the SIPS Christmas Sing-Along online with over 180 other schools! It was a wonderful way to end the term.

No photo description available. This week, we’ve received a heartwarming message from Lcpl Will Turner and the men of 6 Platoon, B Malta Company, 1st Battalion The Mercian Regiment. They wanted to say a huge thank you to our amazing children for the paintings, cards, and thoughtful gifts sent their way.

Our children's kindness has made being away from family over Christmas a little easier and reminded them of the importance of their work. They even shared a photo of the socks we sent – keeping them warm in Estonia!

We are so proud of our Temple Meadow community for spreading joy and showing such care.

Finally, I wish you all a very merry and relaxing Christmas break and a happy New Year. Thank you to our staff, children, and families for your continued support.

Reminder: Children return to school on Tuesday 6th January 2026.

An Amazing Cause!

We are incredibly proud of Lucy in Year 3 for her amazing kindness and generosity! During the Christmas holidays, Lucy will be cutting her beautiful thick, curly hair short so she can donate it to the Little Princess Trust. This wonderful charity provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or conditions such as Alopecia.

Lucy is also raising money to support the charity’s work.

Well done Lucy, such a fantastic cause.

Year 6 Leads the Way with Anti-Bullying Charter

6 Morpurgo recently collaborated to design an Anti-Bullying Charter as part of their latest unit of work. The charter reflects the children's shared commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone.

Through thoughtful discussion and teamwork, they outlined clear principles and actions to prevent bullying and promote kindness across our school community. We are proud of their efforts and the positive impact this will have on our school culture.

Farewell to Mrs. Sprigg

Today, we said a heartfelt goodbye to Mrs. Sprigg. During this morning’s assembly, staff and children gave her a standing ovation, a true reflection of how warmly everyone at Temple Meadow feels towards her.

We wish her every success in her exciting new venture working with young adults. Thank you for everything you’ve done for our school community, Mrs. Sprigg, you will be greatly missed! 💐✨

Christmas Jumper Day Success! 🎄

A huge thank you to all our families and children who joined in the festive fun for Christmas Jumper Day!

Together, we raised £98.05 for Save the Children UK. Your generosity will help make a real difference to children in need this Christmas.

Thank you for supporting such a wonderful cause and for bringing so much festive cheer to our school!

Huggle Pets

We’ve loved having Murphy visit our classrooms and read with us again this week! Thank you for bringing so much joy and excitement to our learning. 📚🐾

We can’t wait to see you again soon!
