Friday 3rd October 2025

It's been another enjoyable and productive week here at Temple Meadow! We've been keeping up the sporting spirit with cricket coaching continuing for our Year 2 and 3 children, as well as a great turnout for our after-school club for Year 4 and 5.

On Thursday, we were delighted to welcome the Road Safety Team, who conducted informative and interactive sessions for all year groups across the school. We hope your children came home excited to explain all they learnt about keeping safe on the roads!

Next week kicks off with our Monday morning assembly, where we will be focusing on Harvest. We are proud to be supporting the Black Country Food Bank. Please see the list of wanted items below. Your generosity makes a real difference!

On Wednesday, we look forward to hosting our Reception Open Event for all prospective families. If you know anyone who might be interested, please do encourage them to sign up to see why Temple Meadow is the perfect place to start their child's learning journey.

Finally, next Friday, we are looking forward to seeing a sea of yellow in our celebration assembly as we mark World Mental Health Day.

World Mental Health Day

On Friday 10th October 2025, we will be supporting YoungMinds and their Hello Yellow campaign. Children and staff are invited to wear an item of yellow clothing to school to show young people that they are not alone with their mental health.

We encourage a small donation to support YoungMinds’ vital work.

For parents and carers, YoungMinds offers helpful resources:
• Online guidance: youngminds.org.uk/parent
• Parent helpline: 0808 802 5544 (9.30am–4pm)
• Online chat with trained professionals: Parents Helpline

Let’s come together to show our children that they are seen, heard, and supported.

Parent Referral Form

As you are aware, Mrs Bayley is our Inclusion Lead. If you have any concerns regarding your child and their potential special educational needs, please remember that you can complete a Parent Referral Form.

This form can be found on our school website, or you can request a paper copy from the School Office.

Reception 2026

The application window for Reception 2026 places opened on Monday 15th September 2025.

Come and discover why Temple Meadow is the perfect place for your child by joining us at our Reception Open Events.

Lunchbox Reminder

We kindly ask families to be aware that any waste from children’s lunches, including yoghurt pots and lids, is sent home in their lunchboxes. This helps us reduce school waste and ensures families are aware of what their child has eaten.

To make this easier, we suggest including a small rubbish bag in your child’s lunchbox or using wipe-clean plastic boxes that won’t be damaged.

Personal Belongings

Please ensure that children do not bring toys, trading cards or stationery from home into school.

Thank you for your support in helping us to avoid distractions and keep belongings safe.

Birthday Celebrations at Temple Meadow 🎉

A reminder that we kindly ask parents not to provide sweets for the class when it is their child’s birthday, as we have a number of children with varying allergies.

To celebrate birthdays at Temple Meadow, children are invited to come to school in their own clothes on their special day. If a birthday falls on a weekend, they are welcome to wear their own clothes either the day before or the day after.

Thank you for your co-operation.
