May be an image of 4 people, child and people smilingIt's been another lovely week across the school with children focusing on our value of 'Belong'. A huge thanks to everyone who has come along to one of our events over the last two weeks; your positive feedback has been lovely to receive.

A huge thank you to our amazing teaching team, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Collins, Miss Pearson, and Mrs. Lamb for spending the whole week with our children on residential. Despite some challenging weather conditions, they have all had the best time, making truly special memories, challenging themselves physically and mentally, and building their perseverance and resilience skills.

Pupil Parliament

Next week, we will be holding our pupil parliament elections. If your child is interested in being a Class MP, please refer to the previous communication sent by Miss Dale.

If you are unable to find this email, please remember that all letters are uploaded onto the school website.

Best Wishes to Mrs Lowe on Her Maternity Leave

Wishing the wonderful Mrs Lowe all the very best as she begins her maternity leave today!

We hope she has a restful and exciting time with her new arrival and look forward to hearing all her happy news.

I am writing to you today with a special invitation to mark World Mental Health Day on Friday, 10th October. At Temple Meadow, we are proud to be supporting the incredible work of YoungMinds, the UK's leading charity for children and young people's mental health.

YoungMinds' annual campaign, Hello Yellow, encourages people to wear yellow to show young people that they are not alone with their mental health. It's a simple, powerful message of hope and solidarity. As Headteacher, I will also be wearing yellow on the day, and I would love for our school community to join me.

Right now, more than 1 in 4 young people have a probable mental health condition. Many arenโ€™t getting the help they need, when they need it. By wearing yellow on 10th October, we can all help to raise awareness and vital funds to ensure that YoungMinds can continue their crucial work.

We are inviting all children and staff to wear an item of yellow clothing to school on Friday 10th October 2025, in exchange for a small donation of anything you can give. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help YoungMinds provide life-changing support to young people and their families.

Most importantly, we want to share the resources that YoungMinds offers to support parents and carers if you ever need help and advice to support your children. These include:

  • online resources (www.youngminds.org.uk/parent/)
  • a phone line, open 9.30am-4pm (0808 802 5544)
  • an online chat for parents and carers to speak to trained professionals if youโ€™re concerned about your childrenโ€™s mental health (www.youngminds.org.uk/parents-helpline/)

We are passionate about fostering a supportive environment for our children, and participating in Hello Yellow is a wonderful way to show them that we care about their well-being.

Please help us make a difference. Let's wear yellow together and show our young people that they are seen, heard, and supported.

"Wear it loud. Wear it proud. Because we stand brighter, together."

At Temple Meadow, children have the opportunity to be rewarded with Dojo points for being ready, respectful, and safe. Each week, the child who earns the most Dojo points in each class receives a special certificate to celebrate their hard work and positive actions. Remember, you can stay updated on your child's progress, including both positive and negative Dojo points, through the Dojo app. It's a great way to see how they're doing!
