It’s been another busy and exciting week at Temple Meadow!

Some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils took part in Life Skills workshops, gaining valuable knowledge and confidence as they explored practical, real-world scenarios. We were also delighted to welcome families into school for our Nursery Open Event - it was lovely to see so many of you exploring our vibrant Nursery provision.

Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Cadbury World, and we were incredibly proud of their impeccable behaviour throughout the day. Well done to all the children and staff involved!

We’ve also welcomed several visitors into school this week. Moderators reviewed our Year 6 writing outcomes, and our School Improvement Advisor visited to check in on the progress we’re making. Both gave really positive feedback about the calm, purposeful learning environment across school.

We’re also very pleased to share that we have now received the new photographs from our recent school photographer visit. These beautifully capture life at Temple Meadow and we’ll be sharing some of them with you each week through Family Connect do look out for them!

Looking ahead, we’re excited to host our annual Science Fayre next week. Just a reminder that projects should be ready to showcase on the morning of Wednesday 18th June 2025. If your child has participated, we warmly invite you to join us at 2:45pm on the day to view their brilliant work.

On Thursday 19th June, we’re looking forward to welcoming our new Reception families to our Reception Welcome Evening as they begin their journey with us this September.

Finally, a reminder that Sports Day event dates are available on our website calendar and have also been shared on our Facebook page. We’re hoping for sunshine and cheering crowds!

Introducing the My Child at School (MCAS) App

We’re excited to announce that Temple Meadow is now using the My Child at School (MCAS) app to help families stay better connected with school life.

Through the MCAS app, parents and carers can update contact information, view real-time attendance, submit absence requests and receive important school updates.

Starting in September, even more features will be available, including selecting school meals, paying for trips, booking Family Engagement Evening appointments and receiving direct messages from school.

An email invitation to register has been sent to all parents and carers with parental responsibility. Please check your inbox and follow the instructions to get started.

Year 6 Football Event

On Thursday, a group of our Year 6 boys proudly represented the school in a football tournament. They performed brilliantly, winning and drawing several matches to earn their spot in the tournament final.

The final match against Grace Mary was closely contested, with both teams creating plenty of chances. Despite their efforts, the game ended 1-0 in favour of the opposition.

We are extremely proud of the boys for their outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and resilience throughout the competition.

Forest School

A big thank you to the families who joined Reception Carle for their Forest School session, it was wonderful to have you with us, sharing in the children’s outdoor learning experience.

Scooter Rack

It’s been great to see so many children making good use of our new bike and scooter rack. Encouraging active travel is important to us, and we’re pleased this new addition is proving so popular.
