It’s been a wet and windy week, but we were really pleased to welcome the photographer on Wednesday to update all our marketing and media images. It had been over five years since our last whole-school photography session, so it was well overdue! We’re really looking forward to seeing the photographs of our gorgeous children.

It was a joy to spend the day with the photographer, visiting every class from Nursery to Year 6. Watching our children being captured in their learning and play reminded me just how lucky we are to have such amazing, talented pupils at Temple Meadow.

A big thank you to our Reception parents who attended the Forest School stay and play session. As mentioned previously, we’re working hard behind the scenes to expand our Forest School offer to as many children as possible next academic year. We’ll be sharing more information about this very soon.

From Monday, our bike and scooter racks will be available to use. Please do take advantage of this facility. We’re also working to get a cover installed over the racks to protect them from the weather, you should see this in place very soon!

Summer Festival

We’re really excited to be launching raffle ticket sales as part of our fundraising efforts for our first ever Summer Festival! Please see below for a list of some of our amazing prizes. Raffle tickets are just £1 per strip and can be purchased at any time from the School Office from Monday. You’ll also spot members of our team out on the playground selling tickets in the lead-up to the festival.

Prizes are being added all the time! So far, we’re thrilled to add additionally to the list below a lovely hamper from Pride Accountants, which includes a bottle of whisky and a Slimming World voucher generously donated by one of our families.

Don’t forget…all money raised goes straight back into our children and their experiences. Thank you for your continued support.

We Need Your Help!

As you’ll be aware, school budgets are incredibly tight - but we are always looking for ways to make meaningful improvements to our school environment in the best interests of our children.

We’re currently hoping to enhance our Early Years outdoor learning space and have a lovely idea to brighten it up! We’d like to paint one of the walls using chalkboard paint to create an imaginative role play area where children can write, draw, and express themselves as part of their play.

If you think you could offer a few hours of your time to support our Early Years team with this painting project, we’d be so grateful. Please get in touch with the school office so we can arrange a time for everyone to come together and get creative!

My Child At School App (MCAS) Coming Soon!

As you are aware, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to streamline our systems and move towards a one-stop-shop for all school communication and parental access.

We’re really excited to announce that next week you will receive further details on how to register for the My Child At School (MCAS) app!

We’ll be gradually moving all of our current systems over to MCAS - starting with ParentLite, and by September, this will include replacing both ParentPay and SchoolCloud. From then on, you’ll be able to use the MCAS app for everything you need, all in one place!

For now, we’re asking all families to keep an eye on their emails, as you will soon receive an invitation to access the MCAS app.

🌱 Healthy Eating Week – Coming Soon! 🍎

We’re excited to share that our Pupil Parliament has been busy planning a Healthy Eating Focus Week for children in Years 1–6, starting Monday 16th June!

The week will kick off with a special assembly and include a Healthy Snack Challenge where each healthy break-time snack earns points for the class! 🥕🍇 The class with the most points wins a certificate and a fun prize!

Please support us by encouraging your child to bring in a healthy snack each day – together, we can help our children build lifelong healthy habits!
