Friday 23rd May 2025

We can’t believe it’s already half term – what a busy and productive four weeks it’s been!

We’ve had such a lovely morning across school celebrating our Nurture Values Award. A huge well done to all the children who have been recognised for being caring, supportive, kind, and nurturing - you truly embody the values that make our school community so special.

It’s been especially lovely to see families joining Reception Murphy in our Forest School provision earlier this week. It was a wonderful experience, and we’re excited to roll this out more widely and make it accessible to even more children next academic year.

You may have already seen our Facebook video celebrating the fantastic visit from athlete Nekoda Smythe-Davies - it was such a special experience for our children!

A huge well done to Year 5, who have visited Haden Hill Park over the past few weeks as part of their Geography curriculum. Their behaviour has been exemplary and they represented Temple Meadow brilliantly.

Year 4 wowed us with their fabulous fashion show on Wednesday - photos from the event are now live on our Facebook page.

Thank you to the families who joined us for our Nursery Stay and Play - it was a real success  and we loved welcoming you into our setting.

Finally, don’t miss the photos of our Reception children celebrating with their Bug Ball on our Facebook page tomorrow - a joyful way to end the half term!

Wishing everyone a restful and well-deserved break. We look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 2nd June 2025 as we begin our final half-term of this academic year.

Just a reminder, children break up for summer Friday 18th July 2025.

Looking ahead to the next half-term, we’re excited to be launching our Thrive Awards, where we’ll be recognising children who show resilience, growth and a positive mindset in all they do. 🌱✨

School Photography Day

We are excited to let you know that we have an upcoming school photography day at Temple Meadow. A professional photographer will be visiting to capture images that showcase the wonderful experiences and learning taking place across our school. Naturally, this will include our fantastic children.

These photographs will be used to promote Temple Meadow in a variety of ways, including our school website, prospectus and other marketing materials.

Photography day will take place on Wednesday 4th June 2025.

Please ensure that children arrive at school looking smart and in the appropriate uniform. This includes no jewellery and hair tied back. It will only be Year 4 who are required to be in their PE kit on this day. If your child typically has Forest School on a Wednesday afternoon, please make sure they do arrive with their kit.

We would love for all our children to be involved and help represent everything that makes Temple Meadow so special. However, only children with marketing media consent will be able to feature in photography day.

If we currently don’t have your consent and you would like your child to appear in school marketing materials, please provide your consent by:

  • Speaking to a member of our Office Team in person or by phone
  • Emailing us at tm.admin@meadow.sandwell.sch.uk with your child’s name and a brief note confirming that you now provide consent for marketing media

Pupil Voice on Online Use and Social Media

Our children have been collaborating with Jade from the School Nurse Team to explore how pupils use online platforms and social media.

They gathered opinions and experiences directly from their peers, then transformed this information into clear pie charts.

Alongside their research on age limits for social media use, they created and displayed informative posters around the school to raise awareness.

This project has helped give pupils a stronger voice while promoting safe and responsible online habits.

📢 Coming Soon: The My Child at School (MCAS) App!

We’re excited to announce that Temple Meadow will soon be launching the My Child at School (MCAS) app - your new go-to for staying connected with your child’s school life.

With the MCAS app, you’ll be able to:

✅ Stay up-to-date with school news and communications
✅ Easily update contact details and consents
✅ View attendance in real time
✅ Make payments for meals, trips and more (coming soon!)
✅ Stay fully engaged with life at Temple Meadow

Watch your inbox for an email invitation from us with everything you need to get started.

Please note that as part of our transition to the MCAS app, ParentLite is no longer accessible to our families.

Uniform Donations Needed

We are currently seeking donations of preloved school uniforms for both boys and girls in the following age ranges:

3–4, 5–6, and 9–11 years.

If you have any items to donate, please bring them to the Community Hub after half-term, between 8:50 and 9:00am.

Your support makes a big difference - thank you!
