Friday 9th May 2025

Thank you to all the children who joined us in celebrating VE Day yesterday. The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their bunting with you all. Head to our Facebook page to see our video highlights!

Next week, our Year 6 children will be sitting their SATs tests. I'm sure you'll join me in wishing them the very best of luck. We are incredibly proud of the hard work they’ve put in over the past months and we’re confident that each one of them will give it their all - which is all we could ask for.

Also next week, Reception Carle will take part in their Forest School Stay and Play session, 5 Rosen will head out to Haden Hill for a Geography visit and Nursery will enjoy their Space Day next Friday. Please keep an eye out for separate communications sent to the relevant families.

As we head into warmer days, please see our warm weather guidelines below:

  • On days when high temperatures are expected, children may bring su cream to school. These must be clearly labelled with their name (please note: no aerosols).
  • Children must apply their own sun cream and are not permitted to share it with others.

Inset Days

As you may be aware, we have five INSET days across each academic year, which are used for staff training and continued professional development. We aim to give you as much notice as possible regarding school closure days and are therefore already planning ahead for the 2025/26 academic year. We can now confirm the dates for four of the five INSET days:

  • Monday 1st September 2025
  • Tuesday 2nd September 2025
  • Monday 5th January 2026
  • Monday 20th July 2026

Inset Days

Next week is Mental Health Awareness Week – a timely reminder that it’s just as important for us, as adults, to look after our own mental health as it is to support others.

Taking care of our wellbeing helps us to be the best version of ourselves – both at work and at home. Please see the information below for simple, practical tips to support your own mental health.

Exciting Science Fayre Coming Soon!

We’re thrilled to announce that our school will be holding our annual Science Fayre on Wednesday 18th June! This is a fantastic opportunity for children to showcase their creativity and scientific thinking. Over the half term break, we encourage all students to work on a science project at home. Completed projects should be brought into school on Tuesday 17th June, ready for display.

To make things even more exciting, there will be three fantastic prizes awarded for the most impressive projects. Our very own Science Ambassadors will have the important job of selecting the winners. We can’t wait to see the amazing experiments and ideas our young scientists come up with!
