Friday 2nd May 2025

Welcome back to what has been a gloriously sunny start to the summer term!

This week, we were delighted to welcome our fourth intake of nursery children. It has been lovely to see them settling in so well. If you know anyone who may be interested in joining our Temple Meadow Nursery, please do let them know about our Nursery Open Event on Wednesday 18th June 2025 (more information below).

We are delighted to have received our list of children who will be joining our Reception in September 2025. It was lovely to see so many of our existing Nursery children on the list as well as many new families who we look forward to welcoming soon.

The first week back has felt very calm and it’s been wonderful to see everyone returning refreshed. We have also rehearsed our first lockdown drill of the term this week. I have sent a separate communication to share how smoothly this went and how well all of our children responded.

As always, I’m mindful of how busy the summer term can be, so I wanted to provide you with a reminder of some key whole school dates and important information. Please note, this is not a definitive list - do refer to our website to see our live calendar.

  • The Book Fair has now opened and is accessible after school each day until Wednesday 7th May.
  • Monday 5th May is Bank Holiday Monday and school will be closed.
  • Thursday 8th May is VE Day and we will be celebrating by inviting everyone to wear red, white, and blue. If this falls on your child’s PE day, they may still wear their PE kit.
  • Sports Days:
    • Years 3–6: Tuesday 24th June at 9:15am
    • Years R–2: Tuesday 24th June at 1:30pm
    • Nursery: Friday 4th July (more details to follow)
  • End-of-Year Reports will be sent home on Friday 11th July
  • Our Summer festival is taking place on Wednesday 16th July

New School Management Information System

After the Easter break, we will be moving to a new Management Information System (MIS). As a result, parents will no longer be able to access ParentLite after Friday 23rd May 2025.

We are excited to announce that we will soon be introducing the My Child at School App. This new app will allow you to receive school communications and update your child’s details easily and securely.

In the near future, the app will also be used for making payments, booking clubs and signing up for Family Engagement Evenings. We will share more information and guidance on how to get started with the app soon.
