Wow! What an incredible week at Temple Meadow!

We have been extremely busy in classrooms, with two learning walks taking place. The first was a visit from the Maths Hub and the second was with our American colleagues working with us on the Teach Like a Champion programme. I can only say how proud I am of our amazing school—we received such incredible feedback, which I will share with you below.

On Wednesday evening, we held our Family Engagement Evening and it was an absolute pleasure to speak with so many families informally throughout the night. Children loved sharing their work with their families and spotting the stickers in their books! A huge thank you to Ben and Claire, our Chair and Vice-Chair of Governors, who attended and had the opportunity to speak with many of you during the event.

On Thursday, we celebrated World Book Day, with so many children and staff joining in the fun. We hope every child enjoyed bringing home a surprise pre-loved book of their choice to continue fostering a love for reading.

This week, our Year 6 children have received their secondary school place offers. We hope that all of our children have secured their preferred choices and are excited about the next step in their educational journey.

It’s hard to believe how little time they have left with us. We are incredibly proud of their progress and all they have achieved during their time here. As they prepare for this exciting new chapter, we will continue to support them every step of the way.

Today our chicks in Year 2 were re-homed—a huge thank you to Mrs Betney for adopting them!

What is Ramadan and why do Muslims fast? | UK News | Sky NewsFinally, as we enter the month of Ramadan, we would like to extend our warmest wishes to all those who are observing this important time. We understand that Ramadan is a time of both spiritual and physical dedication, and we are here to support our children in any way we can.

Thank you all for another fantastic week. Your continued support makes Temple Meadow the special place that it is!

This week, I’m sure many of you have celebrated Shrove Tuesday. Some of our children in school have been busy making and tasting pancakes, enjoying the fun of this tradition. It’s always great to see the excitement and creativity that come with this activity!

Year 1 Excellent Work

A big congratulations to all of Year 1 for their fantastic work on the Zog! It has been wonderful to see the excellent outcomes that our children have been achieving.

A special well done to Jana, Zaire, and Adeline, whose work is being shared below. I’m sure you will agree that these are exceptional outcomes for Year 1 children. Keep up the hard work and dedication – we’re incredibly proud of each and every one of you!

Inappropriate Language

This week, I have started sending letters to a small number of families to request their support in addressing their child’s use of inappropriate language at school. This is something I feel strongly about, both personally and professionally. No child should come to Temple Meadow and be exposed to unacceptable language—it does not align with our school values, and we are committed to maintaining a respectful and positive learning environment.

If you have received one of these letters, please do support us in reinforcing the importance of appropriate language. By working together, we can ensure that Temple Meadow remains the best possible place for all our children.

Reminder: Start and End of Day

To help keep everyone safe during busy drop-off and pick-up times, please remember:

  • No ball games on the playground before or after school.
  • Children must dismount scooters while on school grounds.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Reminder: No Toys from Home

Please remember that children should not bring toys from home to school. This helps prevent items from getting lost or damaged and ensures that all children can focus on their learning and play with school-provided resources.

Thank you for your support!
