Dear Families,

Welcome back to the second half of the spring term! It's hard to believe how quickly time has passed and it certainly feels more like spring with the sunshine and the beautiful spring flowers popping up all around our school grounds.

It's been wonderful seeing our children return to school this week feeling rested and full of excitement; ready to take on the second half of the term.

This week has been particularly special. In Year 2, we've welcomed the arrival of our chicks, which has been a delight to watch (head to our Facebook to see the latest updates). We've also had the School Health Nurse team visiting several year groups, our Huggle Pets programme has started for a small group of children and Year 4 had an exciting visit from the fire brigade. It's been a busy start to the term and I look forward to what the rest of this spring term will bring.

Don’t forget to sign up for your Family Engagement evening slot! The booking system will close this Sunday, so make sure you book your place soon.

We are also in the process of reviewing our end-of-year reports and I’d really appreciate hearing your views. Please check out my separate communication and questionnaire – it’s not too late to share your thoughts.

Home Learning

We are so excited to launch our new approach to home learning! Your child (Year 1-6) will have brought home a new home learning book. Inside the book, you will find a reminder of your child’s TT Rockstars login details. There is also a spelling list and a picture included.

Please encourage your child to use the image as inspiration for their piece of creative writing. They can choose any genre they like for their writing! I can’t wait to read some of the outcomes.

Don't forget to read with your child as often as possible at home as well.

A Fantastic Achievement

Huge congratulations to Bruce in Year 5 for his recent achievement outside of school! A big thank you to his family for sharing all that he has been accomplishing beyond the classroom.

Silverstone RC hosted the British GP in front of massive crowds at the Milton Keynes shopping centre on Valentines weekend. Indoor off road rc buggy racing does not get any better than this. An international field take to the track, with multiple world champions in attendance and 9 year old Bruce Lee from Cradley Heath headed to this event with his dad, as a season opener. With 207 competitors, Bruce finished in the top 130, which was 40 places higher than his attempt in 2024. Well done Bruce, and good luck with your racing this year.
