Friday 17th January 2025

Dear Families,

Happy Friday, everyone! It has been a busy week with DECCA in school, working with Year 2 and Year 6. We also hosted another Family Connect Coffee Afternoon. While we had a small number of families attend, it was still lovely to connect and chat with you all. A huge thank you to Mrs. Ateeq for providing the samosas – they were absolutely delicious!

I hope that many of you are able to take advantage of our Free Fridays and the books available outside the Community Hub. Don’t worry if you didn’t get a chance – there will be more books out next Friday (weather permitting)!

Temple Meadow Visions and Values:

I am delighted to share our refreshed and realigned Temple Meadow values with you. This process involved collaboration between our dedicated staff team, Governors (including Parent Governors) and our wonderful children. Together, we undertook the challenging but rewarding task of summarising our values into five meaningful words.

Belong, Nurture, Thrive, Discover and Grow.

Zones of Regulation

At Temple Meadow, we are always striving to create a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the emotional and social well-being of all our children. To further support this goal, we are excited to introduce a new framework that we are incorporating into our classrooms: The Zones of Regulation.

Please see the letter from Miss Dale sent earlier this week for more information.

Pupil Parliament

This week, we had the pleasure of meeting with our Pupil Parliament and welcoming our new Year 1 recruits, Isaac and Adaline. Together, we discussed our new school values: Belonging, Nurture, Thrive, Discover, and Grow.

Our Pupil Parliament is currently gathering ideas from their peers on how we can celebrate both World Book Day and Red Nose Day. We’re excited to see their creativity in action!

We have a number of surplus books in school that we would like to make use of, rather than throwing them away. Therefore, we will be placing these books outside the Community Hub tomorrow (weather permitting) for you to take, free of charge.Additionally, please remember that any surplus milk and fruit is also always available to take away, free of charge, from the Community Hub on Fridays. We hope you can make use of these resources!
