Friday 20th December 2024

Dear Families,

As we approach the festive season, I want to take this opportunity to wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and share our best wishes for 2025. We hope you all manage to relax, enjoy spending quality time together and reflect on the love and joy that others bring into our lives.

Looking ahead to the new year, we are excited to host our Vision and Values Event on Tuesday 7th January 2025, with all staff and Governor representation in attendance. This will be a fantastic opportunity to align our shared aspirations for Temple Meadow. We look forward to sharing the outcomes of this important work with children and families later in January.

We can’t wait to welcome children back to school on Wednesday 8th January 2025, refreshed and ready for an exciting spring term ahead.

Wishing you a peaceful and joyful holiday season.

End of Term Assembly

As the term came to a close, we were thrilled to hold our End of Term Assembly, a special occasion to celebrate the incredible achievements of our children.

The assembly shone a spotlight on our children's hard work and dedication, with awards presented for outstanding performance across our curriculum and excellent attendance.

It was a wonderful time to reflect on the term’s successes and applaud the resilience, creativity and enthusiasm our children brought to their learning each day.

What a fantastic way to end the term on a high note!

Polar Express

What a wonderful way to end the term! Our Polar Express Movie Evening was a huge success, with so many children enjoying the magical experience. The atmosphere was filled with excitement; it truly helped us all get into the festive spirit.

A special thank you to Mrs. Claus who delighted the children by serving hot chocolate and cookies, adding that extra sparkle to the evening. We’re also incredibly grateful to all the ‘elves’ who ensured the event ran smoothly.

Reception and Hub Stay and Plays

🎄✨ We had so much fun at our Nursery, Reception and Hub Christmas Stay and Play events! ✨🎄

A huge thank you to all the family and friends who joined us to make this festive occasion so special. 🎅

We hope you enjoyed the activities and spending time with our wonderful Temple Meadow community.

KS2 Christmas Concert

What a wonderful way to celebrate the festive season! A huge thank you to all the children and staff in Years 3-6 for delivering such a magical carol concert at Holy Trinity Church. The atmosphere was truly heart-warming and the theme of tolerance, respect and understanding shone brightly through the beautiful songs and poems.

Moments like these remind us of the strength of our school community and the importance of coming together to celebrate not only the holidays but also the values that unite us all.

A thanks to the Salvation Army!

As we approach the festive season, I would like to take a moment to express our thanks to the Salvation Army for their incredible generosity.

Through their support, many of our families have received toys and presents, ensuring that this Christmas is a little brighter.

Their kindness and dedication to supporting our community have made a significant difference and we are truly grateful for their contribution.

Arts Mark

I am absolutely thrilled to share the fantastic news that we have achieved the Arts Mark Gold award! This is a real testament to the hard work, creativity, and dedication to ensuring Arts are a high profile in our curriculum. Thank you all for our teaching team for their incredible efforts in ensuring our children have access to a vibrant and enriching arts education.

A special and heartfelt well done to Mrs Collins for her exceptional dedication and leadership in this process. Her hard work and commitment have been integral to our success and this achievement is truly a reflection of her passion for Art. What an outstanding accomplishment!

All the best to Miss Skelding

We would like to extend our heartfelt best wishes to Miss Skelding, who will soon be starting her maternity leave.

As she embarks on this exciting new chapter, we wish her all the joy and happiness that comes with welcoming her little one.

On behalf of everyone at the school, we send our love and best wishes for this special time in her life.

Inclusion Lead/Nursery

I am delighted to share some exciting news with you all. Mrs Bayley, who has been a valued member of Temple Meadow for 14 years, will be taking on the role of Inclusion Lead from January 2025.

Initially, she will work alongside me before fully taking on the responsibilities of SENDCO. Mrs Bayley is passionate about supporting our children and families, and she is eager to get to know you all. As part of this transition, she will be joining me for meetings throughout the spring term to connect with our school community.

Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Bayley on her new role!

Welcome Miss Clarke

We are delighted to welcome Miss Clarke to our school community from January as the new teacher for 4 Ahlberg. Miss Clarke brings enthusiasm, creativity and a passion for inspiring children to achieve their very best.

We’re excited to see the wonderful learning opportunities she’ll bring to the classroom and look forward to seeing 4 Ahlberg thrive under her guidance.

Please join us in giving Miss Clarke a warm welcome to the team!

Parking

We kindly remind all families to prioritise safety during drop-off and pick-up times. Recently, there have been instances of vehicles mounting the kerb near the school. This action poses a serious risk to children, other pedestrians, and road users.

Please do not mount the kerb or stop in restricted zones.

Access to the school site

To ensure the safety and security of all children and staff, we kindly remind everyone of our school site access protocol:

  • When exiting the school grounds, please do not hold the gate open for others to enter
  • All visitors must use the intercom system to gain access to the school site.

This procedure is in place to ensure we can monitor and control who is entering the site. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a secure environment for our school community.
