Friday 13rd December 2024

Dear Families,

It’s been a festive week across Temple Meadow and we’ve enjoyed some wonderful celebrations together!

Firstly, a huge thank you to our SIPS Catering for providing us with a delicious Christmas dinner– it was thoroughly enjoyed by all! We also had our Christmas jumper day, raising just under £80 for Save the Children. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this great cause.

A big well done to our Year 1 and Year 2 children who treated us to an amazing Christmas story performance today – you did an outstanding job!

Next week, we look forward to our KS2 Carol Concerts. If you are attending the Year 3 & 5 performance, please arrive at Holy Trinity Church for a 10:00am start time. The Year 4 & 6 performance will begin at 1:45pm.

On Wednesday morning, families with children in our Hub provision are welcome to join us for a Stay and Play session at 9:00am. Early Years parents are invited to join their class Stay and Play sessions later in the week.

Our Polar Express event is full steam ahead for Thursday evening! The deadline for booking tickets via Parent Pay is today, so please don’t miss out. Golden Tickets will be sent home early next week and we’re excited to see everyone enjoying the event.

A final reminder: Friday 20th December is our last day of term. Children are invited to wear their own clothes alongside their Christmas jumpers. We’ll also be hosting our End of Term Celebration Assembly, where we will announce our first-ever Curriculum Champions.

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead as we continue to celebrate the festive season!

Dialogue Society

A huge thank you to the Dialogue Society for their wonderful session with our Year 4-6 children. They delivered an engaging and thought-provoking workshop focused on enhancing equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a special emphasis on British values such as democracy, the rule of law, and mutual respect. The children thoroughly enjoyed listening to a variety of faith leaders and gained valuable insights on fostering social cohesion. We're so grateful for this opportunity to support our children’s understanding of these important topics. Our thanks to Mr Ozal for connecting us with the Dialogue Society as a Parent Governor.

We’re thrilled to offer our students a chance to dive into the world of science through the Fizz Pop Science After-School Club! Whether your child is a budding scientist or just loves to explore, Fizz Pop Science is the perfect way to nurture their love for learning.

Parking

As we continue to work together to ensure the safety and smooth operation of our school community, we kindly ask for your cooperation with parking during drop-off and pick-up times.

Please be mindful of the following:

  • Do Not Block Driveways: Several of our neighbours rely on having clear access to their driveways at all times. Blocking or obstructing driveways, even for a brief period, can cause delays and frustration. We ask that you avoid parking in front of driveways or along areas where vehicles cannot easily pass.

  • Drop Off and Pick Up Efficiently: If you're dropping off or picking up children, please ensure you move along promptly to allow space for others.

Our goal is to create a safe and respectful environment for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us maintain a smooth, courteous routine for both the school community and our neighbours.

Edina Trust

A huge thank you to Mrs. Bayley and all of Year 4 for their outstanding efforts in improving sustainability and environmental learning within our school. Their dedication and hard work have earned them an Excellence Award for their exceptional achievements in this important area. This is a remarkable accomplishment, and we are incredibly proud of their contributions towards making our school more sustainable. Well done to everyone involved!

Community Clean-Up Success! A huge well done to our amazing children who took part in the community litter pick this week in Cradley Heath! With the help of local councillors John Tipper, Vicki Smith, and Julie Webb, our children rolled up their sleeves and made a big difference in keeping our area clean and green. Together, we collected bags of litter and showed the power of community spirit. It's so inspiring to see our children actively engaging in making their town a better place for everyone. A big thank you to the councillors for joining us and for their continued support!
