Friday 22nd November 2024

Dear Families,

I want to take a moment to thank you for your understanding and support following the unavoidable and unfortunate snow closure earlier this week. We truly appreciate your patience as we navigated the situation.

This weekโ€™s Family Connect is packed with important information, so please take some time to read through all the updates and announcements included.

๐ŸŒŸ Family Engagement Evening Success! ๐ŸŒŸ

A huge thank you to everyone who attended the event this week! It was such a pleasure to see so many of you there.

Weโ€™re incredibly grateful for the feedback provided through our questionnaire, with the majority of parents scoring us an amazing 10/10. Instead of selecting just a few comments to highlight, Iโ€™ve decided to share all your feedback, ensuring that everyoneโ€™s views and opinions are represented.

A huge thank you to the SIPS team, Family Hub and our Governors who attended. Your presence and contributions were invaluable in ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved. We deeply appreciate your ongoing support and collaboration with our school community.

Thank you again for your support in making the evening such a success!

Christmas Jumper Days

Christmas Jumper Day

As you may be aware, National Christmas Jumper Day takes place on Thursday, 12th December. This year, all fundraising efforts will go to Save the Children. We are inviting all children to wear their Christmas jumper on this day, with a small voluntary contribution that can be made via ParentPay or cash donations.

In addition, our Christmas Dinner will be held on Wednesday 11th December, and children are welcome to wear their Christmas jumper on this day to add to the festive spirit.

Finally, as we celebrate the end of the Autumn term on Friday, 20th December, children are once again invited to wear their Christmas jumper to mark the occasion.

We look forward to sharing in the festive fun! ๐ŸŽ„

Christmas Dinner Day

We are excited to announce that our annual Christmas Dinner Day will be taking place on Wednesday, 11th December 2024. This is always a highlight of the school year, where we come together to celebrate the festive season with a delicious meal.

After-school opportunities

We are thrilled to share some exciting news about the clubs and activities available at our school!

We are delighted to announce a partnership with NUGZ Academy, who will soon be hosting their Dance Club in our purpose-built Dance Studio on Wednesday evenings. This is a fantastic opportunity for our children to explore their love for dance and performance while benefiting from professional instruction right here at school.

Please see the poster (left) for more information on how to sign up. We are so pleased to bring this opportunity to our school community and canโ€™t wait to see the amazing creativity and talent our children will showcase.

Starting in January, we are delighted to introduce a Science Club run by FizzPop, a team renowned for their engaging and educational activities. The club will take place every Tuesday after school, from 3:20 pm to 4:00 pm.

To build excitement for this new opportunity, FizzPop will visit Temple Meadow this half term to deliver a whole-school assembly, showcasing the fun and interactive experiences children can expect from the club. Following this assembly, we will send letters home with further details, including how to sign your child up.

We are thrilled to bring this exciting new club to Temple Meadow and look forward to seeing many of our children exploring the wonders of science. Please keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks.

At Temple Meadow, we place great value on starting the day right. Arriving on time is vital to ensure your child has the best chance of succeeding and feeling settled for the day ahead. Why is punctuality important? Morning routines matter: Teachers set the tone for the day with important instructions and activities that build confidence and focus Boosts learning: Every minute counts! Missing the first moments of a lesson can impact understanding and progress Supports friendships: Arriving on time allows children to connect with peers and feel included right from the start. Our school gates open at 8.40am, please ensure your child is ready to begin their day with their peers. Let's work together to develop positive habits that set our children up for success both now and in the future! Thank you for your support in ensuring every child has a strong start to their day. If you are experiencing challenges with morning routines, we're here to help! Feel free to contact our Pastoral Team for advice and support.

Reminders

Nursery Collection Reminder

We kindly ask that older siblings do not play in the play area in the Early Years playground or with Early Years toys when collecting their younger siblings.

Our Nursery teachers are focused on safely dismissing children to their families, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping maintain a safe and calm environment during collection times.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
