Friday 20th September 2024

Dear families,

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all families who attended our very first Star Assembly. It was wonderful to see so many of you there to celebrate the achievements of our children and share in this special moment.

Your presence and support mean so much to the children and to us as a school. Events like these remind us of the incredible community we have and the positive impact we can create together in supporting our children's growth and success.

We look forward to many more assemblies, where we can continue to recognise the hard work, progress, and accomplishments of our amazing children. Thank you again for making this first assembly such a memorable one.

Year 1 Art Work

Our Year 1 classes are learning about the artist Andy Goldworthy, a land artist who uses natural materials to make his sculptures. Children ventured into our outdoor environment to collect natural resources to make their own land art pictures.

Well done Year 1!

As our Year 5 and Year 6 children return from an unforgettable few days away, itโ€™s time to reflect on the experiences, growth, and memories made during their residential week.

Watching our children step out of their comfort zones, try new activities, and build stronger bonds with one another has truly been heartwarming. From the initial excitement to overcoming challenges, each moment offered a chance for them to develop resilience, teamwork, and confidence.

The full summary of the week, including lots more photos, can be found by clicking the link below.

Family Connect Coffee Morning

On Monday 30th September, we will be hosting a Family Connect Coffee Morning where all families are welcome. This a great opportunity for families to socialise, network and connect.

Sarah Messenger, the school's Social Emotional Mental Health Advisory Teacher, will be present alongside members of our leadership team and our Pastoral Team.

Please do come along for a hot drink, cake, chat, seek advice and take the opportunity to browse our pre-loved, free school uniform.

Parking

We kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring safe and considerate parking during drop-off and pick-up times. To help keep our school environment safe and accessible for everyone, please remember the following:

๐Ÿšซ No parking in restricted areas:

Please avoid parking in front of driveways or no-parking zones.

๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ Be mindful of pedestrians:

Children and families may be walking in the area, so please drive slowly and cautiously.

โ™ฟ Respect disabled parking:

Please leave these spaces available for those who need them.

๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธUse allocated walkways:

Please do ensure that pedestrians do not walk across our staff car parks to ensure everyone's safety.

We appreciate your understanding and support in maintaining a safe environment for our school community.

Operation Encompass

Temple Meadow is an Operation Encompass school as we are dedicated to the safety and well-being of our pupils and families.

Operation Encompass is a police and Education early intervention safeguarding partnership that supports children and young people exposed to Domestic Abuse. It aims to ensure Schools are notified in a timely manner of any Domestic Abuse incident where child/ren are present or registered at the address. This early notification should mean that, in the majority of cases, schools are alerted in readiness for the children arriving at school the first working day following an incident.

Operation Encompass went live week commencing 1 October 2018 and the aim is that schools will know as close as possible to the start of the school day that the child has been or may have been exposed to a domestic abuse incident.
