Dear Parents/Carers
We are closing this busy term with a celebration of the many, many lovely things happening in and around school this last week. My goodness, we have been so busy! We have had so many opportunities for children to showcase their skills and talents.
I also close this term by saying an enormous thank you to my fantastic staff team. Every single team has pulled out all the stops to make Temple Meadow such a fantastic school.
A very big thank you too, to you, for all your parental support for all the things we do.
This last week, we have had the Easter egg competition led by Miss Barnham; our Year 3 performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Year 5's Ukelele performance. Nursery were also visited by the Animal Lady and today, Nursery and Reception hosted a Time for Rhyme stay and play celebration. You can find more information about some of these events below.
So, wishing everyone a restful Easter break ready for a busy, busy, busy summer term which will be my last at Temple Meadow. Please do read my letter sent yesterday to see if you can donate anything to support our Eco ambition in the summer term linked to our Perfect Planet topics, but also to a wonderful legacy of greening and environmentally improving Temple Meadow to benefit all and sustain into the future. Please see the below extract from my letter:
So can you help us? Easter is typically a time to get outside; if you have a garden or window box or family or friends that do, see if you can donate us a plant. It doesn’t have to be expensive. If you like to garden you may have some plants that can be divided into small plants. You may already be raising some seedlings; you might have some summer bulbs that you’d be willing to donate one or two to us. If you can donate, try and pop it in a recycled container (yogurt pot etc) – pop some drainage holes in the bottom; fill with some soil or compost; try and label it and add your name if you want us to know who it came from. Drop your donation by our community hub (our posh shed near the Infant building). I’m sure some of you are gardeners so you will know all about dividing perennials. We will be buying lots of things; I will be dividing plants in my garden and encouraging staff and governors to join in.
Wishing everyone a restful and relaxing Easter break.
