Dear Parents/Carers,
We've had a lovely first week back following half-term. Many interesting and exciting things are happening across the school. Year 2 have taken delivery of their eggs. Now that the chicks are hatched, everyone, including staff, are finding them absolutely irresistible. It is so lovely to have such active resourcing linked to Year 2's Science topic.
This week, a group of Year 5 & 6 pupils had an opportunity to take part in a Maths competition; see below for more information.
It was also lovely to see so many Parent/Carers attending our two Parent's Evening's this week. It is so important that you get the opportunity to hear about your child's progress and how you can further support them academically.
We've also been busy showing around several candidates interested in the Headteacher vacancy; without fail, every single candidate has been highly complimentary about the school, our learning and outdoor environments and positive pupil behaviours. They have been blown away by our creative curriculum and all the beautiful displays in and around school. I will continue to keep you informed as the Headteacher recruitment process rolls out.
Please be aware that we do have a further Parent Governor Vacancy; I encourage you to apply and/or speak to me if you want to understand more about what the role involves.
