On Monday, some of Year 5&6 children set off for their residential visit to Plas Gwynant. Residential visits provide invaluable opportunities for children to develop independence, resilience and teamwork, whilst creating lasting memories with friends. We hope they have had an amazing time embracing every challenge and experience on offer.

We are also delighted to, this week, celebrate excellent attendance with two of our children who enjoyed a special hot chocolate with Mrs Yates and myself after achieving 100% attendance last week. Regular attendance plays a vital role in children's success at school and it was wonderful to recognise their commitment in this way. Well done to both children.

On Tuesday, we were pleased to welcome the Sandwell Best Start Family Hub Mobile Spoke to school. The visit provided families with an opportunity to learn more about the support and services available within the local community. We are grateful for the valuable work they do in supporting children and families.
Today, we came together to celebrate World Mental Health Day. Children and staff marked the occasion by wearing yellow and taking part in activities focused on promoting positive mental health and wellbeing, linked to this year's theme of Mental Health for All. It was a fantastic opportunity to remind our school community of the importance of looking after our mental health and supporting one another.

This October, the school is marking UK Black History Month. Children are studying inspirational British and international individuals, with each year group focusing on these figures during their comprehension lessons.

As always, thank you for your continued support. We look forward to sharing more exciting news and achievements from across the school in the coming weeks.
