As we come to the end of another busy and successful week at Temple Meadow, I am delighted to share some of the many opportunities and experiences our children and families have enjoyed.
Secondary School Application Information Session
On Monday, we were pleased to welcome Year 6 families to school for our Secondary School Application Information Session. Led by Laura Binsley, Education Adviser from Sandwell Council, the session provided valuable guidance on the secondary school application process, including key dates, open events and how to complete applications. Thank you to all of the families who attended and took the opportunity to prepare for this important next step in their child’s educational journey.
Reception Meet the Teacher Stay and Play
Today, we were delighted to welcome our Reception families into school for our Meet the Teacher Stay and Play sessions. It was wonderful to see so many families joining us to spend time in the learning environment, meet members of the Reception team and begin building positive relationships for the year ahead.
Our School Development Plan

These priorities reflect our values and our commitment to providing the very best education and opportunities for every child.

OPAL Update: New Performance Stage Takes Centre Stage!
We are delighted to share the latest development in our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) journey. As part of our commitment to providing exciting and engaging play opportunities, we have introduced a brand-new outdoor performance stage for our children.
The stage has already proved incredibly popular, with children enjoying opportunities to dance, sing, act, perform and showcase their talents in front of their friends. It has quickly become a vibrant addition to our outdoor environment, encouraging creativity, confidence and collaboration through play.
A special thank you goes to Dan, our Site Manager, who worked hard to design and build the stage for our children. We are incredibly proud of how our outdoor spaces continue to evolve and provide meaningful play experiences for all.
The introduction of the stage is another exciting step in our wider OPAL programme. Keep your eyes peeled for further site and OPAL developments over the coming months!
As we continue to develop our outdoor play offer, we are looking for donations of sand toys for our sand play area. If you have any unwanted buckets, spades, sieves, moulds, diggers or other sand play equipment in good condition, we would be very grateful for your support. Donations can be handed in via the school office.

100% Attendance Rewards Are Coming!
We are really keen to acknowledge and celebrate those children who achieve 100% attendance each week.
From next week, every child who achieves 100% attendance for the week (Friday to Thursday) will receive a special 100% Attendance Sticker. Mrs Yates will visit classrooms every Friday to present these awards, with our first sticker celebration taking place on Friday 2nd October.
As an extra reward, all children who achieve 100% attendance for the week will be entered into a prize draw during Celebration Assembly to win Hot Chocolate with Mrs Yates and a member of our Leadership Team.

New Dinner Tables Debut!
Children were excited to use our brand-new dining tables for the first time today in the dinner hall. The new tables have helped create a welcoming and comfortable environment for lunchtime, giving children a great space to enjoy their meals and spend time with their friends. We are delighted to continue improving our school environment for all children.
