Welcome Back!

A very warm welcome back to all of our families as we begin another exciting school year. We hope you have enjoyed a wonderful summer break filled with rest, fun and special family moments.

We are incredibly excited about the year ahead and the many opportunities it will bring for our children. As always, our staff are committed to providing the very best learning experiences and ensuring that every child feels safe, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential.

We are also delighted to welcome several new members of staff to our team. Please join us in welcoming Mrs Yates, who joins the school as our Attendance Officer, and Miss Smith and Miss Hannah, who have joined us as Learning Support Practitioners. We know they will be a fantastic addition to our school community and we wish them every success in their new roles.

Over the past two days, our classrooms have been buzzing with excitement as children have enjoyed being back with their friends and getting started with their learning.

Here are just a few photographs from our first two days together.

A key focus during the start of term has been "Proud to Be Me", helping children to celebrate their individuality, strengths and achievements. Pupils have also been exploring our new behaviour policy and learning about the Temple Meadow Way, which is built around our six core principles and the values that make our school such a special place to learn and grow.

Families will have the opportunity to hear more about the Temple Meadow Way at our upcoming Meet the Teacher events, beginning with Year 6 on Tuesday.

We would love families to support these principles at home too. By encouraging and reinforcing our six principles both at home and at school, we can work together to help every child thrive and be the very best version of themselves.

We are no longer using the Dojo App. However, families will now receive information about their child's positive and negative behaviour points through the MCAS app. More information about our 6 principals will be sent out in a seperate communication.

Road Closure

We have been informed by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and National Grid of a partial road closure on Station Road from 21st September 2026 to 7th October 2026.

Due to the nature of the works, there may be an increase in traffic volume on Wright's Lane during this period. We would like to remind all families to take extra care when travelling to and from school, particularly when crossing roads and using footpaths around the school site.

We kindly ask families to:

  • Allow extra time for journeys to and from school.
  • Take particular care when using Wright's Lane due to the potential for increased traffic.
  • Park considerately and legally, avoiding obstruction of driveways, junctions and pedestrian crossings.
  • Follow any temporary traffic management measures that may be in place.
  • Consider walking to school where possible to help reduce congestion and improve safety for everyone.

Thank you for your support and cooperation in helping to keep our school community safe during these works.

Meet the Teacher Dates

Dates for these sessions are below. During this time, you will also be invited to join your child in an activity based on our school value-based curriculum, which reflects our values: Belong, Nurture, Thrive, Discover, Grow. This is also a great opportunity to chat informally with your child’s new class teacher.

Please take a moment to complete the Microsoft Form that will be sent out shortly to confirm your attendance.

Don't worry if you haven't completed the form, you are still very welcome to attend on the day. The form simply helps us to get an idea of numbers so that we can set up appropriately and ensure we have enough space and resources available for everyone.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Sandwell Family Hub Event

We are delighted and incredibly excited to host the Sandwell Family Hubs Mobile Spoke at our school. This is a fantastic opportunity for families to access a range of valuable support, advice, and services right on their doorstep.

We are proud to work alongside Sandwell Family Hubs to strengthen connections within our community and help ensure that children and families receive the support they need to thrive. We look forward to welcoming the Mobile Spoke and seeing the positive impact it will have for our families.

We hope your children enjoyed their first day back at school! Who took photos of their child's first day back? We'd love to see them in the comments below. A special shout-out to our Year 6 families who will have taken their last ever 'first day' primary school photographs. We'd particularly love to see those first day of Year 6 photos alongside their very first day in Reception pictures. It will be amazing to see how much they've grown!
