It has certainly been an extremely warm week and we do hope that all of our families have stayed safe and well during these challenging conditions. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community.
In response to the high temperatures, school closed early at 1:15pm on Wednesday and was fully closed on Thursday and Friday. These decisions are never taken lightly, but were made to help keep children, families and staff safe during the peak heat of the day.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back and returning to our normal routines next week.
As we approach Armed Forces Day tomorrow, we would like to take a moment to recognise and thank all those who serve, have served, and the families who support them. Their dedication, courage and commitment help to keep our country safe.
On Monday, our wonderful Year 2 children had the most fantastic day at Weston-Super-Mare Beach!
From playing in the sand and building with buckets and spades, to enjoying a well-earned ice lolly, smiles were seen all around!
A big thank you to our staff team and volunteers who supported the visit and helped make the day such a success.

Earlier this week, we shared our new Sports Day dates with families. Please refer to the information below for full details:

Following today's closure, our Summer Colours Day has now been rearranged for next Friday.

A reminder to families regarding the upcoming changes to Free School Meals from September.
From September 2026, applications must be completed annually, even if your child has previously been eligible. This is a significant change, as eligibility will no longer automatically continue throughout a childβs primary school years.
We strongly encourage families to complete and return their application forms to ensure continued support and to help the school access vital funding for children.
Thank you to one of our families who have been busy growing plants from seeds at home and were excited to bring them into school to share. Amina and Zahra particularly enjoyed planting them in our garden, taking great care to help each plant find its new home.

We wish you a restful weekend and look forward to welcoming everyone back for another busy week ahead.
