As we prepare to break up for May half-term, it has been wonderful to reflect on yet another busy and exciting half-term in school; it's been full of enrichment opportunities and memorable experiences for our children.
This week, some of our Year 6 children have completed their Bikeability training. This fantastic programme supports children in developing essential cycling skills, confidence and road safety awareness.
The children showed great determination and maturity throughout the sessions, a brilliant life skill to take forward as they move on to secondary school.

We also welcomed Mr Bradley from Ormiston Forge Academy, who visited school to find out more and talk to our children about their transition to secondary school in September.
On Tuesday, our Year 3 children wowed us with their Perfect Planet Fashion Show!
Using recycled and pre-loved clothing, they designed and created their own unique outfits before confidently showcasing them on the runway. The creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm on display were truly fantastic and the children should be incredibly proud of themselves.

On Thursday, we were delighted to welcome families from Reception Murphy into school for their Forest School Stay and Play session.
Families had the opportunity to join their children in a range of outdoor learning experiences, including den building, developing physical skills and exploring the Forest School environment together. These sessions are a wonderful way to share learning and celebrate children’s development outside the classroom.

Today, we held our Bring a Bottle Day as part of our ongoing fundraising for the upcoming Summer Festival. Donations will support our bottle tombola and help raise funds for our OPAL project, enhancing outdoor play opportunities for all children.
Thank you to our families for your continued generosity and support.

Also today, we came together to celebrate our Values Award winners, linked to this term’s value of Discover.
It was fantastic to recognise children who have shown curiosity, enthusiasm for learning and a willingness to explore new ideas. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them.
Congratulations to our winners:
