What an incredibly busy and joyful week it has been at Temple Meadow! Our children have once again shown us just how vibrant, engaged and enthusiastic they are and it has been wonderful to see our school community come together for so many special experiences.

We are pleased to share that Mr Hopkins is now back home, out of hospital and continuing on his road to recovery. This is wonderful news and we know our whole community will join us in wishing him continued strength and good health.
Steve has been an incredibly valued member of the Temple Meadow community. His dedication, warmth and commitment to our children and families have made a lasting difference, and he will be greatly missed. He leaves behind very big shoes to fill.
We send Steve our heartfelt thanks and warmest wishes for the future in his retirement.

A group of our KS2 children were invited to the Eid Sport Celebration Event at West Bromwich Albion’s Dome, where they enjoyed a wide range of activities including tennis, football, football rounders, storytelling, singing and crafts. One of the highlights of the day was handball, where the children showed great teamwork and enthusiasm as they got competitive against another school. Our children represented Temple Meadow beautifully throughout the event and fully embraced a morning filled with celebration, fun and togetherness.

We also continued our focus on wellbeing, with children in Year 4 and Year 6 taking part in our Stretch, Yoga and Meditation workshops. These sessions support children’s confidence, calm and emotional regulation - skills that make a real difference to their day‑to‑day learning.

It was lovely to welcome so many families into school for our Nursery Easter Stay and Play on Wednesday. Families enjoyed planting activities, exploring learning together and taking part in Easter crafts. The children were so proud to share their Nursery environment with you.

We were also delighted to see such an incredible response to our Easter Egg Decorating Competition. The creativity, imagination and effort from all year groups were truly wonderful to see. The winners this year are:
Early Years: Lyla-Rae & Jovie
KS1: Jude & Ollie
KS2: Rubi-Rai, Daisy, Milo & Stacey

On Thursday, our Reception children had a fantastic time celebrating their Bug Ball. It was wonderful to see them dressed as their favourite bugs, taking part in themed crafts, games, investigations and dancing. The day was a brilliant way to mark the end of their Growing topic.
Also on Thursday, our after‑school Choir Club treated us to a wonderful performance to celebrate the end of their term’s hard work. The children have been practising five songs and it was fantastic to see their confidence and teamwork shine as they shared their music with families. I especially liked how well Years 2-5 worked so well collaboratively. A huge well done to all our choir members for their dedication this term.
As always, thank you for your continued support throughout such a full and exciting term. We wish all our families a very happy Easter Break. We look forward to welcoming families back to school on Monday 13th April 2026.
