At Temple Meadow, we are extremely fortunate and grateful to have a small group of parents who regularly volunteer in school. This helps to support children's learning in a number of ways.
Some of our pupils said…
“Parent Volunteers help us to walk to swimming safely” – Year 5
“I like it when the Parent Volunteers listen to us read” – Year 2
“They are friendly” – Year 4
“I like that they come to school to help us” – Year 5
There are many and varied opportunities across the year when Temple Meadow benefit tremendously from the input of Parent Volunteers including supporting within the Library, hearing children read across all year groups and supporting our educational visits.
Previously our Parent Volunteers have supported these educational visits:
Reception visit to Cradley Heath Library
Year 1 visits to Old Hill, Bodenham Forest School, Dudley Zoo
Year 2 visit to Dudley Zoo
Year 3 visits to Cadbury World and Frank Chapman
Year 4 visits to Trentham Monkey Forest and Selly Manor
Year 5 visits to the National Space Centre and West Midlands Safari Park
Various Religious Education visits to Holy Trinity Church, Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Cradley Heath Central Mosque and Durga Bhawan Temple
We are most appreciative of our Parent Volunteers who contribute to ensure the continued success of events at school and we are always looking for new Parent Volunteers to support us when needed. Please do see a member of the School Office team with any queries regarding Parent Volunteers.
