Holy Trinity Church are organising a live online broadcast of Old Hill’s community lights switch on.
Each household in Old Hill that wants to join in spends the day together on Saturday 28th November, wearing their Christmas jumpers, putting up their Christmas tree and festive lights, making cookies, baking mince-pies, and getting ready for 5pm.
For the hour or so before 5pm and half an hour or so afterwards, Holy Trinity will broadcast live content from Old Hill on the Holy Trinity YouTube channel holytrinity.tv. This will include music and pre-recorded songs, poems, jokes, messages from schools, people and community organisations in Old Hill.
At 5pm, people switch on their own Christmas lights at the same time as the star is lit up on the church tower and the Christmas lights are switched on in Old Hill high street.
